Scott Sander Sheppard (né en 1977) est un astronome du Department of Terrestrial Magnetism à l'Institut Carnegie pour les sciences. Il était autrefois chercheur et étudiant à l'université d'Hawaï.
L'astéroïde (17898) Scottsheppard lui est nommé en son honneur.
